Monarchs Beat Alevel Eagles

It was a back-and-forth affair, but Monarchs defeated Alevel Eagles 87-84 on Saturday.

Monarchs and Alevel Eagles were all tied up at 44-44 at the half, but Monarchs pushed themselves to victory during the final two quarters.

Calvin Williams found success all over the court for Monarchs, making 50% (7-for-14) of shots attempted while also sinking 50% (3-for-6) of free throws attempted.

Tiras Morton (15 points), Jordan Johnson (10 points), and Carlos Rocha (8 points) each sunk multiple three-pointers. M'Elijah Wesley hit double digits, scoring 13 points for Monarchs (4-for-10). Also chipping in for Monarchs were Diamante Johnson (9 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block), Aaron Lane (8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), and Cameron Bell (5 points, 4 rebounds). Wesley was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up 13 rebounds.

Monarchs finished the game with 47 rebounds (16 offensive / 31 defensive), two blocks and five steals.
