Monarchs Beat Lights Out

M'Elijah Wesley's 15 points propelled Monarchs to a 74-59 victory over Lights Out on Wednesday.

With a 34-28 lead at the half, Monarchs pulled ahead early in the game.

Great play from the field made Wesley stand out, as he made 75% (6-for-8) of shots attempted as well as 100% (3-for-3) of threes attempted.

Three other players also racked up double-digit scores for Monarchs. Calvin Williams put up 13 points and Aaron Lane added 10 points. Cameron Bell hit two three-pointers and scored 10 points total. Also helping the effort for Monarchs were Diamante Johnson (7 points, 2 rebounds), Tiras Morton (7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals), Jordan Johnson (6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals), Carlos Rocha (4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal), and Noah Fultz (2 points, 7 rebounds, 1 steal). Williams was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks.

Monarchs finished the game with 40 rebounds (14 offensive / 26 defensive), three blocks and 13 steals.
