Monarchs Defeat Austin Defenders

M'Elijah Wesley scored 13 points to bring Monarchs to a 49-28 victory over Austin Defenders on Saturday. Monarchs put points on the board early, claiming a 25-17 lead at the half. Sinking 50% (6-for-12) of shots, Wesley had a solid performance from the field for Monarchs.

Calvin Williams tapped out at double digits, scoring 10 points for Monarchs (4-for-10). Tiras Morton put two three-pointers on the board and scored eight points total. Also contributing for Monarchs were Jordan Johnson (6 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals), Diamante Johnson (5 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal), and Aaron Lane (3 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal). Monarchs finished the game with 32 rebounds (11 offensive / 21 defensive), three blocks and 11 steals.
