Monarchs Fall Short Against New Era Basketball

Monarchs fell to New Era Basketball on Saturday, 55-53, despite M'Elijah Wesley putting 19 points on the scoreboard. Monarchs put up points early in the game, entering the second half with a 24-14 advantage. New Era Basketball, however, came back for the victory. Notching 13 points in the first half, Wesley wasted no time sinking shots for Monarchs.

Calvin Williams made it into double digits, scoring 12 points for Monarchs (4-for-13). Also contributing for Monarchs were Tiras Morton (7 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block), Carlos Rocha (5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks), Cameron Bell (5 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal), Jordan Johnson (3 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals), and Noah Fultz (2 points, 2 rebounds, 1 block). Monarchs finished the game with 36 rebounds (12 offensive / 24 defensive), 10 blocks and 14 steals.
