Monarchs Beat 2020 Canes

Diamante Johnson scored 11 points to bring Monarchs to a 55-51 victory over 2020 Canes on Saturday.

Putting up a 25-22 lead at the half, Monarchs scored points early in the game.

Going 5-for-11,  Johnson had a solid showing for Monarchs, making 45% of field goals attempted.

Two other players also racked up double digit scores for Monarchs. M'Elijah Wesley had 10 points. Tiras Morton notched three three-pointers and scored 10 points total. Also helping the effort for Monarchs were Aaron Lane (8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Jordan Johnson (7 points, 2 rebounds), Noah Fultz (3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal), Carlos Rocha (2 points), Brian Batts (2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals), and Calvin Williams (2 points, 1 rebound, 1 steal).

Monarchs finished the game with 29 rebounds (11 offensive / 18 defensive), two blocks and 11 steals.
